Located at Soyedpur near Jamuna Bridge in Sirajganj Sadar Upazila, Sirajganj District, the Sirajganj 68 MW Solar Park (BCRECL Sirajganj Solar Park) represents a significant leap toward renewable energy adoption in Bangladesh. Sponsored by Bangladesh-China Renewable Energy Company Private Limited (BCRECL), this landmark project is a joint venture between North-West Power Generation Company Limited (NWPGCL) and China National Machinery Import & Export Corporation (CMC), sharing ownership equally. As an Independent Power Producer (IPP), the solar park is poised to contribute clean energy to the national grid for 20 years, commencing commercial operation in December 2023.
